17mar2:00 pm4:00 pmTrain the TrainerThis free, interactive Train-the-Trainer session prepares participants to confidently deliver the Building Trusted Relationships training in their own communities. Participants will learn to facilitate the 2-hour training with fidelity to core messages while adapting examples, discussions, and activities to their unique community context. Through engaging examples, guided practice, and feedback, trainees gain the skills to model the Trusted Adult Principles, engage adult learners, and support participants in strengthening trusted relationships with young people to promote mental health and reduce risky behaviors like vaping.

Event Details

Participants in Colorado are eligible for a $500 minigrant upon completion of the post-training survey in order to support the facilitation of the Building Trusted Relationships training in their communities.

Audience
This Train-the-Trainer session is designed for professionals who provide training to educators, school staff, youth-serving professionals, and parents/caregivers of young people age 11-24. 

Duration: 2 hours

Learning Objectives

  1. Explain and teach the connection between youth vaping, mental health, and trusted adult relationships.  
  2. Coach others to be able to identify and practice strategies for building trusted adult relationships with youth in their communities.  
  3. Adapt and deliver the Building Trusted Relationships training with fidelity to core messages while tailoring examples and discussions to the community context.
